Robin Goh (100861X)-Young drivers are reckless-Do you agree?

Young drivers are reckless. Do you agree??

I agree that young drivers nowadays are reckless.
In the recent years in Singapore, there are quite a number of accidents happened. Most of these accidents were caused by young drivers. Young drivers often take unprecedented risks.
From the given website, they had done a research and found out that:
  • 33% of drivers under the age of 25 admitted to having taken a bend at speed whilst driving down a rural road.
  • 66% of the drivers polled acknowledged having exceeded the acceptable speed limit.
  • Men, the study suggests, are more likely to be responsible for errors of judgement when driving than women.
  • 69% of male motorists under the age of 25 admitted to exceeding speed limits in rural areas compared to 50% of women.
What i feel that youngsters nowadays like adventures. They tend to try out new things. For example, they like to drive to places with steep roads and curvy bends. This can lead to an accident to happen. Another example is, land changing during peak hours. Some of the young drivers change lanes as if there's no car behind or beside them. An accident may occured too.

I think that Singapore government should imposed more road safety rules to the drivers out there. For example, they can do spot check regularly on those crowded areas at night to check whether the drivers did drink driving. This can ensure them to know that they shouldn't drive if they want to drink. This also can protect their lives too.
